Operations and logistics

The warehouse and the fleet are the components with the most direct impact on operating costs. We implement the systems that keep them under control, from goods-in through to confirmation of delivery.

Warehouse management, route planning and field sales for distribution and FMCG.

The consultants who analyse the requirements are the same who implement the solution.

Warehouse management

Goods-in, locations, wave picking, perpetual inventory and scanning on Android terminals.

Replaces paper-based stock control and an annual count that shuts the warehouse for three days.

Route planner

Daily routes computed against delivery windows, vehicle capacity and real unloading times.

Replaces the route a dispatcher draws from memory each morning.

Field sales for FMCG

Shelf-side ordering, merchandising checks, returns and collections, synced with the ERP.

Replaces orders dictated over the phone and keyed in the next day.

Batch traceability

Every batch tracked from supplier to end customer, with targeted recall in minutes.

Replaces searching through delivery notes when a supplier reports a problem.

Distribution has rules a generic WMS does not know

Shelf life, bundled promotions, store returns, returnable packaging, orders that change after the goods have left the warehouse. All of this is ordinary in FMCG, and it is either missing from international platforms or costs more as customisation than the whole project would cost to build.

We measure before and after

Before the first line of code we agree what we are tracking: stops per route, kilometres per order, picking errors, time from goods-in to shelf. If those numbers do not move after go-live, we have a problem to fix, not a report to write.

Identifying the process with the highest operational cost

Where the appropriate solution is a standard product, we will advise you accordingly at the analysis stage.
